Remove Tax Liens from Your Credit even if they’re unpaid….
Under the IRS Fresh Start program, individuals and businesses that owe $25,000 or less and enter into an installment agreement may request the lien be withdrawn. And since it’s Tax season we thought you should know about this.
If a tax lien has been filed against you, it may be released 30 days after the debt is paid. However, that does not automatically remove the lien from your credit reports. To do that, you will need to fill out and file IRS Forms and request a withdrawal of the lien. Once it is withdrawn, you can provide that information to the credit reporting agencies and request it be removed from your credit reports.
If no action is taken unpaid tax liens can be reported indefinitely, while paid tax liens can be reported for seven years from the date they are satisfied.
At Credit Servicez we help our clients complete this process should they have liens reporting on their credit report. This information will also be useful for your family and friends to know about.
If you have questions that need to be answered or clients that need to be serviced, Call me today to see if your lien qualifies to be removed from your credit report even if you have not yet paid the balance in full.
If you qualify, your lien could be removed from your credit report in a little as 45 days…Guaranteed!
